Today I have been writing the posts for Thursday night’s
enrolment evening for adult learners to encourage as many people as possible to
come along that are scheduled to go out tonight and tomorrow night whilst I am
not in the College. I have also been gathering together information on upcoming
events that could potentially be used for stories in the college’s media such
as the well-known dance instructor Tom Roden coming into Hyde Clarendon
tomorrow to do a workshop with the musical theatre and dance students. This
story will probably be used for the College’s social media alongside a picture
of the workshop. Another story that I found was about the Public Services
department receiving a certificate from Greater Manchester Police for working with
the crucial crew scheme which teaches children about road safety. Plus I have
been trying to contact singer Mick Hucknall via Twitter because he used to be a
student at Tameside College and it would be a good opportunity for us to speak
to him about his time here etc.
